With a private transfer from Tacna, the route comprises three sessions. The first, from Tacna to Moquegua, covers approximately 93 km of paved road as we enter the valley and the city of Moquegua, known for its warm climate, pisco production, Biodi pisco, wineries, avocado, and olives. All this is appropriate for a brief walking tour of the city near the main square of beautiful, warm-weather Moquegua.
We’ll continue on the second stretch with the beauty of Baul Hill, where we can stop to see the precise form of the mountain shaped like a treasure chest. After a slow, but beautiful climb like a stairway, we’ll continue along the wavy road through a little fog until we arrive at Puente Bello, where we’ll make a short stop to see the birds of the high Andes (Andean geese, ducks, timid vizcachas, etc.). The name was taken from the natural form of the bridge, which was made by nature out of very beautiful, solid rock and has a geyser. These areas have vast extensions of vegetation, such as yaretas, queñuas and natural pastures. There are also endangered wildlife species (vicuñas, tarucas, and suris).
